Anyone with a higher rate mobility allowance and at least 12 month’s award left is eligible for the Motability car scheme. So, that includes:
✔ Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
✔ Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
✔ Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Adult Disability Payment (Scotland)
✔ Higher Rate Mobility Component of Child Disability Payment (Scotland)
✔ War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
✔ Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
If you have 12 months’ award left on your allowance, you could be driving away a brand new Kia. You simply need to exchange all or part of your higher rate mobility allowance*. It’s that simple – and no credit checks are necessary. When you purchase a Kia car through the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the Personal Independent Payment (PIP) scheme, we take care of everything - you just need to add fuel. The scheme does not include fuel, screen wash or de-icer, optional extras, insurance excesses, parking fines, speeding fine or any damage caused to the car by neglect or abuse. New Vehicle Payment for cars and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle). It’s currently £750 and is available once per customer. You can choose to send this directly to your dealer to help towards your Advance Payment, or have this paid in full to you after you get your vehicle. It’s called a New Product Payment for scooters and powered wheelchairs, and it’s £100 instead – you’ll get this after you get your new scooter or powered wheelchair. Find out more
