BIK-BUSTING VOLVO S60 DRIVe AND V60 DRIVe MODELS ARRIVE AT BELLS MOTOR GROUP

  • Bells Motor Group set to deliver S60 DRIVe and V60 DRIVe models
  • Sub-120g/km emissions ideal for local businesses looking to drive down costs
  • Attractive benefit-in-kind (BIK) payments without compromising style, luxury, driving dynamics, luggage space to suit a family and roomy interior

Bells Motor Group Northampton is gearing up to deliver a number of the all-new S60 DRIVe and V60 DRIVe models to local businesses following the model’s arrival in the showroom this month (May).

A combination of impressive fuel economy and low emissions which equates to an attractive Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) payment for company car drivers as well as lower running costs means Bells Motor Group expects these vehicles to be a popular choice for the region’s company car drivers.

Fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox and start/stop technology, the all-new S60 DRIVe and V60 DRIVe are available in all trim levels - ES, SE, SE Lux and the newly launched R-Design. Standard specification is impressive and includes Volvo's award-winning City Safety technology, as well as a suite of other safety systems such as Dynamic Stability Traction Control and Side Impact Protection System. Other features include headlamp levelling system; 16” alloy wheels; power adjustable and heated door mirrors; cruise control; electronic climate control; and a high performance audio system with MP3 functionality. Higher up the range, the SE Lux adds, amongst other things, leather upholstery whilst at the top-of-the-range R-Design offers lowered suspension; 18-inch five-spoke diamond-cut Ixion aluminium alloy wheels; and specially stitched and embossed R-Design sports seats.

Says Bells Motor Group’s general manager Simon Linnell: “Companies are looking at ways to reduce their carbon footprint as well as to make cost savings while company car drivers are increasingly keen to drive vehicles with lower BIK penalties. The S60 and V60 are our ‘typical’ company car sellers and the arrival of DRIVe models has boosted interest even further.”

More than a quarter (26%) of organisations, surveyed by Volvo last year, said environmental issues were at or near the top of their agenda with another half (54 per cent) saying it was a secondary consideration. Whilst most fleet managers interviewed believed that company car drivers base their vehicle selection on the amount of tax they will have to pay with environmental reasons being the least important factor, these two generally co-exist in that the cars that attract less tax are generally the ones that also fall into the ‘greener’ category.

The S60 and V60 DRIVe is good news for business with cost efficient driving at every level:-
