Bells move into their new aftersales facility at Northampton
It's not just the shiny new cars that are on show these days at Bells Motors in Northampton - the brand new workshop and service area is open for all to see, too.
Bells Motor Group moved into its new, purpose-built aftersales facility at the end of last month after an investment of 1.2 million.
Built by local company Warwick Burt and designed by Morton Wykes Associates, the facility provides a large glass viewing area, allowing the customer the opportunity to view their vehicle while it is being worked on in the workshop.
This is the first time the workshop facility has been connected to the Volvo showroom in Bells Motor Group’s 45-year history, and the new facility should allow greater convenience for the customer and better communication between staff and customers.
Emma Bell commented: “Customers are often very interested in what happens to their vehicle while in for service and repair and this will allow them the opportunity to see for themselves. We will be more than happy to show our customers around the new workshop and service department as we are clearly very proud of the facilities we now offer.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff and customers for their patience over the past nine months, as it has not always been easy gaining access while the work took place and we are looking forward to returning to some normality and go back to spending quality time with our customers.”
The aftersales facility includes a 10-bay workshop which includes the latest one-man specialist MOT equipment. Each technician has direct access to manufacturer systems, oil and tools, all housed within built-in wall units, providing a very clean and tidy work environment.
Paul Hobbs who has been working for Bells Motor Group for 33 years, joined the team at Northampton in January as Group Aftersales Manager in anticipation of the opening of the new workshop.
He said: “I am very excited about the opportunity this new facility brings to my team, and the services and speed of repair we can offer our customers, we look forward to showing our customers round.”
