The sportswagon version of the Kia cee’d brings a confident estate car to the range. It’s one of the second-generation cee’d models with enhanced style and interior features – and the traditional Kia seven-year warranty.
The main style differences between the original and the cee’d Sportswagon are the integrated roof bars and rear spoiler on the estate. Body-coloured parts and chrome surrounds remain, as well as the ‘tiger nose’ grille that’s become a Kia hallmark. Headlights with automatic levelling and a third high-mounted brake light ensure increased visibility for you and other road users.
Inside, the varying specification levels span smart black cloth upholstery to full leather with contrast inserts. Some constants across each trim are the centre console armrest, wheel-mounted controls, split folding rear seats, and numerous storage compartments.
There are also a number of security and convenience additions in the luggage area to hold cargo and other items in as much as 1,660 litres of space. Manual gearbox versions of the car also benefit from Intelligent Stop & Go for city traffic and a helpful gear shift indicator.
The estate version of the cee’d is diesel powered, and there’s a choice of 1.4 and 1.6-litre engines with the new model. With a minimum of 89bhp and torque at 220Nm, it can make the 0-60mph sprint in under 14 seconds. Every power system includes a Diesel Particulate Filter to reduce CO2 emissions, cutting them to as low as 109g/km.
Following the cee’d and numerous other Kia vehicles, the Sportswagon has been awarded five stars by EuroNCAP for safety.
It comes with a comprehensive range of protective measures as standard, which include impact-sensing locks, ABS, a seatbelt reminder warning, and twin surrounding airbags.
