The Kia Carens is a confident and reliable MPV reaching its fourth generation in 2014. The reassuring seven-year warranty from the manufacturer matches the number of seats within the people carrier, ensuring that motorists enjoy lasting performance when they choose the new model.
A striking look is created by numerous chrome accents over the body of the Carens at higher trim levels. Metallic details highlight the grille surround, rear window and tailgate, and the door handles. The people carrier has a lower stance and longer body than the Kia hatchbacks, completing the line-up with a sleeker appearance.
The interior design is similarly refined, with a comfortable leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearstick, centre console armrest, and wheel-mounted controls for driver convenience.
Air conditioning, cruise control, underfloor storage and cupholders are also incorporated. When more luggage space is required, the second and third rows of seats fold to create a 1,650-litre volume.
The majority of engines deliver at least 260Nm of torque and push the people carrier to 60mph in around 12 seconds. At a maximum 60.1mpg combined, the Carens is economical with fuel, and it has the strength to tow a braked weight of up to 1.5 tonnes.
When it comes to safety, the MPV is exceedingly well equipped.
Twin airbags at the front and side cushion effectively against an impact, supplemented by all-round headrests and three-point seatbelts.
Passive and active driver support systems have been included to enhance your driving experience and improve security: Vehicle Stability Management, ABS, and Hill Start Assist Control all feature.
